What is contentment?
Hearing a friend’s wedding planning process, and I realized every couple has their woes. You just need to find that one person who’s willing to work through the woes with you. Someone who will not give up on the relationship when the going gets tough, who will not give in when temptations surround, who will not give u anything less than the best.
Then i wonder when will such a thing happen to me?
I kind of wish I have a sister or brother, someone who is more than a friend.
I guess as I hit such a stage in life, a form of loneliness just seeps in. One that exists even when I’m surrounded with people, even as I’m swamped with activities. I look around & there’s so much I have left behind, in the name of pursuing a fantasy.. Only to realize there is never going to be a fairy tale ending.
And now, I’m left with nothing.
What do you do, when life throws its harshest reality at the girl who’s been living on her ideals & beliefs, who’s been hanging on?
You’ll reap what you sow. - really?
Put others before self. - for what?
He will make all things beautiful in His time. - what if His beautiful isn’t beauty to you?
Give your best in everything, especially the little things. - who cares?
Love never fails. - ha.
Fairytales? - kid me not anymore
Impact others, give selflessly. - look at what you’re left with? emptiness.
Why do I still hope that you’ll be there for me? I’m so stupid.
It dawned on me through this trip just how accepting the Thai culture is. It didn’t matter to them what kind of person you are. It didn’t even seem to bother them when someone is so-called out of the norm. Perhaps that’s why you see much individuality among the people, all trying to express themselves differently.. Be it in their phone covers, colorful bottoms, to all sorts of funny shoes..
Because of this acceptance, people are free to be who they are. Without qualms.
It somewhat felt like a good closure ~
